What server software are you running?
Our Linux server runs on RedHat 7.3, PHP 4.2.2, Perl 5, Phython.
Windows Server runs on Windows 2000, IIS, ASP, PHP, Perl.

Can I access my domain address with or without the "www"?
Yes, you will be able to access the domain address with or without the "www" in front of the domain name. Example: [http://www.your-name.com] or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable, whichever you prefer.

Can I transfer existing domain name to your servers?
Yes, if you email us at info@netforhost.com we will give you instructions on how to do this.

How long does it take before my domain name is active?
Once the InterNIC announces that your domain name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable), it usually takes about 72-hours before it is active. All Internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect the new site's location.

When I order who will the domain be registered to?
We always register domain names to the person listed on the order form. You will get all the three contacts and control panel, using which you can make changes to your domain name.

How long does a domain name registration last for?
Domain names (.com .net .org .biz .info) can be registered for a period of 1-10 years. You can choose how any years of registeration you need.

What is the bandwidth allocation on your hosting accounts?
We offer 500 MB Transfer per month for every 10 MB Web Space. If you have 10 MB Web space, monthly transfer will be 500MB, for 20 MB Web Space 1 GB data transfer per month and so on...

Which FTP software do you recommend?
We recommend Cute FTP or WS_FTP. You can download either one of these from download.com also many ftp programs are easily available with the free CD's provided with computer magazines. One of the Best FREE FTP Program i found is smartftp.com

Yes this is turned on by default. Use .shtml extension of Server Side Include Scripts.

Do you support ASP?
Yes, our Windows 2000 Server supports ASP scripts. File extension of ASP script should be ".asp". ASP Components CDONTS by MS, JMail by Dimac, ASPeMail by Persits, ASPUpload by Persits and ASPDNS installed on our server.

Do you support PHP?
Yes, both our linux and windows server supports PHP scripts. File extension of php scripts should be ".php". On our Windows server, "register_globals" is "Off".

Do you support FrontPage 2000 server extensions?
Yes, FrontPage Extension is available free with Linux Hosting. FrontPage Extension on windows cost Rs. 500/- setup charge.
